“Great design may begin
with a vision, but it is the
fit-out industry that gives
that vision its final form,
detail, and life.”
E
very special issue carries its own significance,
but this edition feels especially meaningful
because it shines a light on the often-un-
sung contributors of the built environment—the
fit-out industry. While architects and designers are
rightly celebrated for their ideas, fit-out special-
ists transform those ideas into lived experiences
through craftsmanship, precision, coordination, and
unwavering commitment. This issue is dedicated to
recognising that essential contribution and giving
the sector the spotlight it truly deserves.
The Fit-Out Powerlist 2026 is our tribute to a field
that quietly shapes the way we work, stay, gather,
and live. Recognition, however, should never be
mistaken for a final verdict. This is not the definitive
list of the region’s fit-out leaders, nor does it claim
to include every outstanding company. Many firms
across the Middle East deliver exceptional work
every day. The names featured here are simply those
who, at this moment, are shining a little brighter and
making a distinct mark through innovation, quality,
sustainability, and execution excellence.
What makes this issue especially rewarding is
the opportunity to celebrate achievement while
documenting an industry that continues to evolve.
Alongside the Powerlist, the edition features regular
features, interviews, project stories, and global news,
ensuring that the conversation around design and
the built environment remains informed, relevant,
and inspiring.
And when this issue finally goes live, I hope to pause
for a moment, sip a cold coffee—definitely not a
matcha, I’m not that girl—and settle into either the
Linden Green or Sunset Pink chair featured in our
'Pick of the Month' segment by YLA, though honest-
ly, I wouldn’t mind having both.

PMKConsult and Havelock One Interiors Complete Turnkey Refurbishment of
RAK Academy Khuzam
P
MKConsult
and Havelock
One Interiors
have
completed
the full
turnkey
refurbishment of the RAK
Academy Khuzam campus,
delivering a comprehensive
transformation commissioned
by Marjan.
Spanning over 226,000sqft.,
the project scope included
design development and
execution of refurbishment
works to the reception,
café area, library, existing
classrooms, restrooms,
corridors, and the full
renovation of the original
swimming pool, along with
the construction of a brand-
new pool, all delivered
within an operational school
environment.
The project was re envisioned
by Marjan Design Lab (MDL)
through a comprehensive
redistribution of the floor plans.
This led to targeted demolition
works and the creation of a
new central “heart” within the
existing building, transforming
an oversupply of classrooms
into a meaningful asset by
converting 30 closed rooms
into open learning oases.
These new spaces reshaped
the previously long, static
corridors into interactive zones
that connect active learning
areas and support the school’s
academic approach.
“Delivering this refurbishment
within a live school
environment required
disciplined planning and an
uncompromising approach
to health and safety, and
safeguarding. With phased
construction, strict access
control, and continuous
monitoring in place, our team
ensured the campus remained
safe and fully operational
throughout. The result is a
transformation that supports
how students and teachers use
the space in a modern learning
environment,” said Adrian
Sellar, Division Director of
Havelock One.
The interior fit out was
developed from a schematic
design provided by the client
and managed by PMKConsult
as Lead Design Consultant,
and their partner BDP. As the
Design & Build contractor,
Havelock One produced the
detailed drawings and shop
drawings required to deliver
both the functional layout
and the intended aesthetic
direction.
“We conducted early
investigations of existing
conditions, which helped build
the composition for enabling
complex MEP and structural
works. Without hindering
operations, we successfully
delivered the project through
close coordination with the
client, school management, and
the Project and Lead Design
consultant – PMKConsult,”
concluded Sellar.
PMKConsult was appointed
as the Lead Design
Consultant and Project & Cost
Management Consultant.
Overseeing cost planning
and stakeholder alignment,
the PMKConsult Commercial
team worked tirelessly
alongside Havelock One and
Marjan’s commercial team to
value engineer the project,
maintaining budget compliance
and achieving a 31% reduction
to initial project costings while
maintaining the design vision.
News
The project marks a significant
upgrade to one of the UAE’s
long established international
schools, enhancing both its
learning environments and
overall campus experience.

TP Bennett Bluehaus Redefines the Executive Centre’s Premium Workspace
at 2.08 Riyadh
T
P Bennett
Bluehaus has
completed the
interior design
for The Executive
Centre’s newest
premium flexible
workspace at
Building 2.08 in
King Abdullah Financial District
(KAFD), Riyadh. Spanning 9,500
sqm across five floors, the project
elevates the traditional flexible
workspace through a hospitality-led
approach, creating an environment
where premium offices, social
interaction and wellbeing come
together within a carefully curated
design narrative.
Rather than treating each floor as
a repetition of office space, the
design unfolds as a journey through
Saudi Arabia’s cultural landscapes.
Every level is shaped around a
distinct identity, from House of
Breeze and House of Horizon
to House of Sand and House of
Oasis, with materials, colours and
textures subtly reflecting the
atmosphere of each destination
while creating a memorable
experience for members and
visitors alike.
“Flexible workspaces can no
longer just offer typical office
spaces and desks,” said Amber
Alston Peters, project director
at TP Bennett Bluehaus. “The
Executive Centre partnered
with us to define what the
future of a flexible workspace
should look like, and to further
elevate the premium experience
following their successful first
centre located in Building 3.09.
The focus became hospitality
and creating a real point of
difference.”
A flexible workspace designed
around experience
Rather than treating the workplace
as a collection of offices, TP
Bennett Bluehaus approached the
project as a sequence of carefully
curated experiences. Drawing
inspiration from Saudi Arabia’s
landscapes and culture, each floor
is given its own identity while
remaining connected through a
consistent material palette and
hospitality-driven design language.
The journey begins at House of
Breeze, where guests arrive into a
welcoming reception inspired more
by a luxury hotel than a traditional
flexible workspace. Warm natural
materials, curated artwork and
lounge seating establish an
atmosphere that encourages
connection from the moment
visitors enter.
Outdoor cafés, social lounges and
hospitality spaces extend this
experience beyond the workplace,
encouraging informal meetings,
networking and moments of pause
throughout the day.
“The Executive Centre wanted
us to create a sense of design
that embedded storytelling and
a journey throughout the space,”
added Alston. “We wanted to
create a place that almost felt
like the home of a well-travelled
person, where every corner has its
own character and tells part of the
story.”
Subtle references to Saudi Arabia
are woven throughout the interiors
through earthy tones, planting,
textiles and tactile finishes, creating
a workplace that feels firmly rooted
in its context without relying on
literal interpretations.
The Dubai studio
will strengthen
SharpMinds’
regional growth and
collaboration across
the Middle East.

T
he stereotypical
image of
a designer
hunched over a
drawing board,
crafting posters
or magazine
layouts, no
longer captures
the breadth of
today’s creative
industries. Communication
design has evolved into
one of the most dynamic
and multidisciplinary fields
in the creative economy,
spanning everything from
immersive virtual experiences
and interactive products to
motion graphics, branding,
publishing, advertising and
data visualisation.
As technology continues
to reshape how people
consume information, learn,
shop, work and socialise, the
demand for professionals
who can communicate
ideas clearly, creatively and
meaningfully has never been
greater. Communication
designers now work wherever
messages, experiences
and interactions need to
be designed, whether on a
printed page, a mobile screen,
within a virtual environment
or across an entire brand
ecosystem.
Artificial intelligence
is accelerating this
transformation, but it is not
replacing designers. Rather, it
is changing the tools available
to them. The professionals
likely to thrive in the coming
years will be those who
combine creativity, strategic
thinking and human-centred
problem-solving with a
confident understanding of
emerging technologies. As
many in the industry observe,
AI will not replace designers.
Designers who know how to
use AI effectively may well
replace those who do not.
The Rise of Digital and
Immersive Design
One of the fastest-growing
areas within communication
design is the creation of digital
and immersive experiences.
Organisations increasingly
seek designers who can build
engaging interactions across
websites, mobile applications,
virtual environments and
emerging platforms.
UX and UI designers
play a crucial role in
shaping how people
navigate digital products.
Their work combines
psychology, research,
visual communication and
technology to ensure that user
experiences are both intuitive
and enjoyable. Closely related
are experience designers
who map customer journeys
across multiple touchpoints,
creating seamless interactions
between physical and digital
environments.
The rapid growth of virtual
reality (VR), augmented
reality (AR), mixed reality and
spatial computing has also
opened new career pathways.
Designers in these fields
create immersive experiences,
virtual exhibitions, interactive
retail environments, branded
experiences and digital
worlds that blur the boundary
between physical and virtual
realities. As industries embrace
immersive technologies,
demand continues to grow for
designers capable of crafting
these engaging environments.
Motion, Gaming and
Interactive Storytelling
Communication has become
increasingly dynamic.
Audiences now expect
movement, interaction
and participation rather
than passive consumption.
This has created significant
opportunities for motion
designers, animators and
interactive storytellers. Motion
design is now central to
social media campaigns,
digital advertising, websites
and broadcast graphics. From
animated brand identities to
cinematic title sequences,
motion designers bring visual
communication to life.
The gaming industry
has also emerged as an
important destination
for communication
design graduates. Beyond
entertainment, game design
principles are increasingly
used in education, healthcare,
training and marketing.
Designers contribute
through interface design,
environmental design,
visual storytelling, character
development, world-building
and interactive narrative
design.
Alongside gaming,
creative technologists
occupy a growing space
at the intersection of
design and programming.
They develop innovative
interactive installations,
digital experiences and
technologically enhanced
creative projects that push
traditional communication
beyond the screen.
“Design is intelligence made visible.”

Branding, Advertising and Strategic
Communication
Despite rapid technological change, branding
remains one of the most influential areas of
communication design. Every organisation seeks
a distinctive identity capable of connecting with
audiences across increasingly fragmented media
channels.
Brand designers create visual identities, design
systems and communication strategies that
help organisations express their values and
personalities consistently. Their work extends
far beyond logos to include digital platforms,
packaging, environmental graphics and
customer experiences.
Advertising and art direction continue to offer
exciting opportunities for creative professionals.
Today’s campaigns must operate simultaneously
across social media, streaming platforms,
mobile applications, outdoor environments and
traditional media. Art directors orchestrate these
multi-channel campaigns, collaborating with
writers, photographers, filmmakers and digital
specialists to create compelling narratives.
Commercial photography and content creation
have likewise evolved into sophisticated
communication disciplines. Visual storytellers
are now responsible for developing content
strategies that engage audiences across a wide
range of platforms and formats.
Information, Editorial and Data-Driven Design
While digital technologies dominate discussion,
the need for clear and effective information
design remains fundamental.
Editorial and publication designers continue to
shape books, magazines, newspapers and digital
publications, adapting storytelling techniques
to contemporary reading habits. Their work
requires a balance between visual appeal,
readability and audience engagement.
Similarly, data visualisation specialists have
become increasingly valuable in an age of
information overload. Governments, banking
services, businesses and media organisations
rely on designers who can translate complex
datasets into clear, accessible and visually
engaging narratives. Combining analytical
thinking with visual communication skills,
these professionals help audiences understand
increasingly complex issues.
A Profession Defined by Adaptability
What makes communication design particularly
exciting is its ability to evolve alongside society,
technology and culture. Few disciplines offer
such a diverse range of career pathways,
from immersive media, UX and game design
to branding, publishing, advertising, creative
technology and visual communication.
The most successful designers are rarely defined
by a single software package or specialism.
Instead, they cultivate curiosity, adaptability
and a willingness to embrace change. They
understand that while technologies may evolve,
the fundamental challenge remains the same:
communicating ideas in ways that inform,
inspire and connect people.
As the designer Paul Rand famously observed,
“Design is so simple, that’s why it is so
complicated.” Communication design is more
than a profession. It is a means of understanding
human behaviour, shaping experiences and
influencing how people engage with the world
around them. For graduates entering the field
today, the opportunities are broader, more global
and more exciting than ever before.
The most successful designers are
rarely defined by a single software
package or specialism. Instead, they
cultivate curiosity, adaptability
and a willingness to embrace change.

decisions were
driven primar-
ily by financial
metrics such as
rental yields,
capital appreciation, and return on
investment. While these funda-
mentals remain important, a new
buyer profile is emerging in Dubai,
focussed on how a property sup-
ports a trio of fundamentals: their
lifestyle, wellbeing, and long-term
aspirations.
Today’s investors are asking
different questions. Is the com-
munity walkable? Does it offer
wellness and leisure amenities?
Can it support flexible working? Is
it somewhere they can see them-
selves living, even if only for part of
the year?
This shift has given rise to what
can be described as the ‘lifestyle
investor’: buyers seeking both
financial returns and a high-quality
living experience. In many cases,
buyers plan to both invest in and
personally use the property at
different stages, blurring the tradi-
tional distinction between investor
and end-user.
The change is increasingly visible
in the types of developments
attracting demand. Branded
residences continue to outper-
form many traditional residential
products, with buyers willing to
pay a premium for service, design
quality, and hospitality-led living.
At the same time, integrated
master-planned communities
that combine residential, retail,
leisure, and wellness offerings
have become some of Dubai’s most
sought-after destinations.
According to Savills’ 2025 report,
Dubai is currently the most active
city globally for branded residenc-
es and is projected to account for
40% of all branded residence devel-
opments across the Middle East
and Africa by 2031. Areas such as
Palm Jumeirah, Downtown Dubai,
Dubai Marina, Dubai Hills Estate,

longer measured solely by location or unit mix, instead it is determined
by the ability to create a sense of holistic space that delivers meaningful
experiences enhancing everyday living.
This shift is influencing buyer behaviour and delivering tangible value.
Industry research shows that developments incorporating wellness-fo-
cused design can achieve rental premiums of up to 10-15% compared to
similar properties, while also benefiting from lower tenant turnover. As
a result, features such as wellness facilities, co-working spaces, smart-
home technology, concierge services, green spaces, and community-fo-
cused programming are no longer viewed as optional additions. They
are becoming expected components of modern residential develop-
ments and even influence purchasing decisions across a wider range of
buyer segments.
Dubai is particularly well positioned to benefit from this shift. Few
cities have evolved as successfully from a traditional investment des-
tination into a place where people actively choose to live, work, build
businesses, and spend time.
As the distinction between investor and end-user continues to inter-
twine, the rise of the lifestyle investor is likely to become one of the
defining trends shaping the next phase of Dubai’s real estate market.
The future of the sector will not be determined solely by transaction
volumes or price growth. It will be shaped by developments that under-
stand a simple reality – today’s buyers are not just investing in property,
they are investing in the way they want to live.

tial, retail, hospitality, leisure, and
wellness experiences within a single
ecosystem.
As a result, buyers are increas-
ingly evaluating property through
a broader lens. Financial perfor-
mance remains important, but it is
no longer the sole consideration.
Lifestyle, convenience, and liveabili-
ty have become equally influential in
purchasing decisions.
Buyers are now drawn to projects
that combine residential living
with hospitality-inspired servic-
es, curated amenities, wellness
offerings, and exceptional design.
The appeal extends beyond prestige;
developments that provide a level of
convenience that aligns with mod-
ern expectations have more demand
than an average real estate project.
Therefore, this evolution is re-
shaping how developers conceive
and deliver projects. Success is no

The UAE fit-out industry will only reach
its full potential when...
… we continue to prioritise collaboration,
innovation and long-term capability over short-
term gains. As the market matures, success
will depend on investing in people, embracing
technology, strengthening local manufacturing
and embedding sustainability into every stage of
project delivery. The UAE has already established
itself as a global benchmark for ambition and
quality. The next step is creating an industry that
is equally recognised for productivity, resilience
and environmental responsibility. By working
together across clients, consultants, contractors
and suppliers, we can build a fit-out sector that not
only delivers world-class projects but also leaves a
lasting legacy for future generations.”
H
aving spent nearly

Farge says he has had the
privilege of witnessing
its transformation from a
largely traditional con-

moments of his journey
has been seeing ALEC FI-

explains, reflects not only
the company’s ambition,
but also the confidence
clients place in ALEC

sistently deliver complex
projects to the highest
standard.
Looking ahead, Farge
believes luxury hospitality,
cultural destinations, en-
tertainment, wellness and
mixed-use developments
will continue to drive de-
mand across the UAE and
wider GCC. As govern-
ments diversify their econ-
omies through tourism
and cultural investment,
fit-out specialists capable
of delivering technically
complex, experience-led
projects will remain in high
demand. He believes ALEC
FITOUT is well positioned
to capitalise on these
opportunities through
continued investment in
specialist manufacturing,
digital engineering capa-

He believes the most sig-
nificant transformation has
been the industry's shift
towards integrated project
delivery, with companies
offering end-to-end capa-
bilities consistently outper-
forming those reliant on
outsourced execution.
Upon taking on his

immediate focus was on

needed to compete at the
highest level. Under his
guidance, the company

regards this organisational
transformation and the

the defining milestone of
his career.
"
The UAE fit-out industry will only
reach its full potential when...
…payment cycles stop punishing the
contractors doing the actual work, when sub-
contractors are treated as delivery partners
instead of cost lines to squeeze, and when
clients value proven execution as much as the
lowest number on a tender. We also need the
industry to stop treating sustainability and
speed as opposites — the best projects prove
they're not. When main contractors, developers
and specialist trades start planning together
from day one instead of handing work down a
chain, the region will build faster, better, and
with far fewer disputes along the way.”

The next phase of growth for the UAE fit-out
industry will be defined by those who control
their own supply chain. Material costs and
lead times are only becoming less predictable,
and clients will increasingly gravitate towards
contractors that can manufacture in-house
rather than depend on a chain of suppliers they
do not control.
Al Shirawi Interiors believes specialisation will
become even more important, with hospitality,
healthcare and branded residences each car-
rying distinct technical demands that require
sector-specific expertise. Generic capability, the
company says, will no longer be enough at the
premium end of the market.
Al Shirawi Interiors continues to strengthen
its portfolio with a diverse mix of premium
hospitality, residential and commercial projects
across the UAE. Recently completed projects
include Jumeirah Living, Peninsula, Business

Current ongoing projects include Eden Park for

Looking ahead, Al Shirawi Interiors aims to
continue building on its long-term strategy by
expanding its manufacturing footprint, equip-

high-end projects across the region. With its

nnovation, cost and
sustainability are all
equally important,
but balancing them is
often more challenging than
people admit, says Ratheesh.
Sustainable materials and
certifications cost more
upfront, new technology
needs investment before it
pays off, and clients still want
commercial numbers that
work.
What has kept Al Shirawi
Interiors balanced, Ratheesh
explains, is having the
sustainability conversation
early, at the design stage,
rather than bolting it on at
the end when it becomes
expensive to change course.
The company's in-house
sustainability specialists work
with clients from the start,
recommending FSC-certified
timber and responsibly
sourced materials before
drawings are locked, so
sustainability is built into the
cost plan rather than added
later.
On technology, Ratheesh
says the company is investing
in AI and digital tools mainly
where they save real time—
estimating, coordination, and
documentation—rather than
chasing innovation for its own
sake. Quality is the one thing
the company will not trade off.
If a cost-saving idea threatens
the finish or durability of a
project, Ratheesh believes it
is better to find the saving
somewhere else than
compromise on quality.

ince its founding in 1998, Havelock One has evolved into one of the GCC's leading fit out
and manufacturing specialists, completing more than 9,500 projects across the region.
Key milestones include the expansion of its Bahrain manufacturing facilities, regional
growth across five markets, and the development of a fully integrated delivery model.
Over the years, the industry has changed dramatically. Sustainability has moved from being a
nice-to-have consideration to a core part of how projects are conceived, specified and delivered,
with clients placing greater emphasis on environmental performance and long-term value. At
the same time, AI is beginning to reshape how we work, helping teams make better decisions,
reduce inefficiencies and unlock productivity across every stage of the project lifecycle.

tephen Taylor has spent more
than three decades in the
fit-out industry, witnessing the
transformation of the UAE from
an emerging market into one of the
world's most sophisticated destinations
for workplace, education and healthcare
environments.
Throughout that journey, the defin-
ing lesson has been that while design
trends, technology and procurement
models continue to evolve, successful
projects are still built on trust, collab-
oration and consistently delivering on
promises. The industry has become
faster, more technically demanding and
increasingly competitive, yet clients
continue to value partners who com-
bine creativity with dependable execu-
tion.
Having experienced multiple econom-

and the rapid evolution of workplace
design, KPS has remained focused on
building long-term relationships rather
than pursuing short-term growth. That
philosophy has enabled the company to
adapt to changing markets while main-

nnovation today extends far beyond
introducing new materials or technologies.
It is about finding smarter ways to design,
build and maintain spaces that deliver
lasting value throughout their lifecycle.
KPS approaches every project by balancing
commercial realities with quality, sustainability
and operational performance. This includes
working closely with clients from the
earliest stages of design, integrating more
efficient construction methods, selecting
durable materials and considering long-term
maintenance requirements through its Aftercare
business.
Digital collaboration, data-driven planning and
closer coordination across consultants, suppliers
and contractors are helping reduce waste while
improving programme certainty and project
outcomes. Sustainability is no longer viewed as
an additional requirement but as a core element
of responsible project delivery.
By combining innovation with practical
experience, KPS continues to create
environments that perform efficiently long after
handover while providing clients with confidence
that their investment will deliver lasting returns.
For KPS, innovation only creates value when
it enhances the client experience and improves
the performance of the spaces the company
delivers.
The next phase of growth for
the UAE fit-out industry will be
defined by higher expectations
rather than higher volumes.
Clients increasingly seek partners
capable of delivering integrated
solutions, measurable value and
long-term support beyond project
completion.
Demand will continue to grow
for healthier workplaces, adapt-
able educational environments,
sustainable buildings and technol-
ogy-enabled spaces that respond
to changing patterns of work and
learning. Businesses that combine
technical capability with strategic
thinking will be best positioned to
succeed.
KPS aims to play an active
role in shaping that future by
continuing to invest in its people,
strengthening specialist capabil-
ities and expanding the services
offered across the entire building
lifecycle. From initial concept
through construction and on-
going Aftercare, the company's
ambition is to remain a trusted
long-term partner for clients
across the region.
For KPS, the future is not simply
about building more spaces—it's
about creating environments
that continue to deliver lasting
value long after each project is
complete.

2004, when two
best friends who

change the company has
witnessed is the rising
standard of the industry.
Landlord and authority

come more rigorous, while
consultants, designers and

nnovation is only valuable if it improves the way projects are delivered. bluecamel embraces
technologies, including AI, where they enhance planning, coordination and decision making.
What technology will never replace is the experience, craftsmanship and relationships behind
every successful project. People remain the company's greatest asset. At the same time,
rising costs have made planning, procurement and value engineering more critical than ever. As
an integrated group of companies, bluecamel coordinates specialist disciplines from the outset,
resolving challenges early and protecting quality, programme and budget. Sustainability has also
become embedded in everyday decision making. From responsible material selection and efficient
fabrication to reducing waste through careful planning, every decision is made with long-term
performance in mind. Balancing innovation, quality and commercial viability ultimately comes
down to disciplined execution, trusted partnerships and understanding where technology creates
meaningful value without compromising the human expertise that defines exceptional delivery.

The UAE fit-out industry will continue to be shaped
by higher expectations. Clients are becoming more
informed, projects more complex and timelines more
demanding. At the same time, technology, AI and
digital coordination are transforming how projects are
planned and delivered, while craftsmanship and execu-

The industry is also seeing a growing emphasis on
integrated delivery, with clients seeking partners who
can bring specialist capabilities together under one
ecosystem while maintaining accountability from

is to help shape that future by continuing to raise the
standard of execution. The company will keep invest-

and embracing technologies that improve precision,

The next phase of growth in the UAE fit-out indus-
try will be defined by integration, specialisation
and the repositioning of existing prime real estate.
As established premium communities mature,
a growing number of properties in exceptional
locations require more than cosmetic upgrades.
MuseDesign sees significant potential in complete
transformations that rethink architecture, layouts,
interiors and technical systems as one integrated
project.
This approach can give established properties an
entirely new lifecycle—enhancing their investment
appeal and market value while creating a highly
individual lifestyle tailored around the owner rath-
er than adapting the owner to an existing property.
Alongside this trend, clients increasingly expect
one experienced partner to connect design,
engineering, procurement, bespoke production
and execution. MuseDesign aims to expand its role
in this segment, combining international design
thinking with local expertise to transform existing
premium properties into highly personalised,
future-ready homes and valuable long-term
assets.

or MuseDesign, innovation
is most valuable when
it genuinely improves a
space rather than simply
adding complexity. New materials,
technologies and construction
methods are evaluated through
three key considerations: design
value, long-term performance and
commercial relevance. This allows
the company to innovate without
losing sight of budget, durability
or buildability.
Rising costs have made
early coordination increasingly
important. By connecting design,
technical and fit-out teams
from the beginning, potential
cost pressures can be identified
before they become expensive
changes on site. Bespoke
production provides further
flexibility, allowing solutions
to be engineered around the
required aesthetic, performance
and budget rather than relying
exclusively on imported finished
products.
Sustainability forms part of the
same decision-making process
through durable materials,
efficient systems, responsible
sourcing and timeless design. The
objective is to create interiors
that perform well, age well and
avoid unnecessary replacement
driven by short-lived trends.

erve balances innovation with commercial viability by testing ideas against
buildability, lifecycle value, procurement certainty and budget discipline.
Technology, 3D visualisation and coordinated design reviews help reduce
rework, while sustainable choices are considered through material selection,
reuse opportunities and efficient specifications. It uses innovation as a design tool,
exploring each element of the project’s lifecycle to ensure futureproof environments.
The UAE fit-out industry will only

lantscapes selects plants for longevity and low
water demand, backed by preventative maintenance
based on a plant's lifecycle rather than reacting after
damage occurs, keeping running costs predictable.
Smart irrigation systems adjust automatically to indoor
conditions. Where relevant, Plantscapes also draws on
Desert Group's wider ecological and engineering expertise,
from greywater treatment and reuse to other nature-based
systems, giving designers genuine sustainability features,
not cosmetic ones.
The next phase of growth will be shaped by reduced depen-

biophilic design achievable beyond flagship projects. Plantscapes
intends to lead that shift, building closer digital coordination
